At the heart of the scandal, perhaps a vast system of human trafficking. Prominent actors in the industry are considered partly responsible. This case revives the debate: while porn websites and platforms are among the most frequented, they are also the least regulated. Should and can they be banned? How to better protect performers, consumers, and the general public?
