In a pre-George Floyd and defund-the-police world, we shadow two sheriffs: one in the economically devastated county of Macomb, north of Detroit, and the other in charge of the Cleveland metro area.
Both alone and with their units, they navigate the challenges of operating as an organization under increasing scrutiny.
